This is the story of me and my guy's relationship:
The Beginning!
In October 2006, I was bored one evening and I decided to sign into a silly teen chatroom. I don't even remember the name. Lol. Remember when everyone used chatrooms? They are so lame now but anyway... I signed on as "Sarah". Don't ask me why I chose the name Sarah, lol, but after a few mins of being in the room I got an IM from "ANiceGuy". We chatted and he seemed very nice so I gave him my email address and my AIM and we began talking in detail. After hours of talking, I just knew I was in LOVE with this guy. At this time, I was 16 and you know how you are when ur 16.... As we were chatting on AIM, I changed my display picture to a motion pic that flashed the message "I LOVE YOU". No surprise here, it freaked him out. I said to him, "Do you like my new pic?" and he said, "hmm, its interesting, don't you think that is too soon?" I was so confused. He was so nice to me, and I thought he would feel the same way I felt about him........ to be continued

Long Distance, Online Relationships CAN work!
My fiance and I have been in an online, long distance relationship for almost 4 years. We meet in a chatroom, of all places, in 2006 and the rest is history. He is a 21 year old college student from Brazil but currently lives in Washington DC and I am a 20 year old college student living in Texas. Due to our studies, we can't be together physically right now so we are sort of forced to be in a long distance relationship. I hear about so many people giving up on their relationships because they can't handle the distance. I feel like our relationship is so rare and different because we have survived for so long. I know 4 years my not seem long to some people, but for a pair of 20 somethings, its an eternity. Lol. I just want to prove to people that you can have a healthy online long distance relationship and it can last. With some hard, HARD work, any LTD can and will last! :)
